Multiple layers, visible and invisible

Postby Watergruvin » Sat Feb 11, 2012 8:47 pm

Hi Everybody,
I am trying to make a Thinking Worlds simulation that uses infrared thermography. So, what I am thinking is that I would have to use 2 layers, a visible layer, and an invisible layer. Is it possible to do this in thinking worlds? Sort of like use the thermography device in the thinking world to create a small second view that would render the invisible layer.

Thanks

Hello,

To an extent, yes. You are right in what you're saying and using clever alpha sorting and entity manipulating nodes, you will be able to create the illusion of a thermography device. Below is a very crude example of using 2 layers, where one is semi-transparent.

Please feel free to request any further assistance, if so needed.

Could you please add me to your skype....fiveeagles is my name.

Thanks!
