Vertical Progress Bar

Postby Chri_E » Tue Feb 07, 2012 9:54 am

I'm trying to use a vertical progress bar, but instead of growing from the top like one would expect (getting higher as the number gets higher) it grows from the bottom. Is there a way to reverse this? I don't see a rotate or flip button anywhere.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we currently don't have a rotate option to set the orientation of the progress bar. However, there is a workaround, which can offer your desired result.
You will need to use an image beneath your progress bar to create the illusion of a rising bar. Starting with a full progress bar and deducting your values to technically reduce the bar will give you the rising motion. This will effectively act as revealing the intended progress as more and more of the hidden image comes into view.

Hopefully, I've explained this well enough for you to understand. Please don't hesitate to request further detail.

Thanks,
Gregg.

This was my plan if things didn't work, but because I originally set up all the math for a horizontal bar I have to redo all the math to make this work.

There's no way to edit all clones of a node at the same time, are there? :(

You may alter the parts of multiple nodes, which have a value taken from a variable by selecting your desired nodes, navigating to the Tools menu in the top left of the window and selecting Update References.
In your example however, I presume you would just need to make sure to set the progress bar to full on start-up and change all of your 'add' node operators to 'subtract'. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to alter node operators by mass in the same way. I understand it can be an annoyance in cases like yours and have added it to the suggestion list for future updates.

Thank,
Gregg
