File size once exported (pak)

Postby GarethF » Wed Apr 14, 2010 11:37 am

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of building part one of a four part game (made up of four seperate journeys). When i exported the file yesterday my pak file was 4mb, i made several changes yesterday, changing the Communicator and Conversation layouts to my own designs, and changing the layouts of the check list and label backgrounds etc. My file size is now 53mb.

I was just wondering what sort of file sizes anyone else is finding. This 53mb journey takes roughly 10-15 minutes to complete as it is a series of questions, if they get a question wrong they then have to answer an extra one. Is this an average size?

Anyone elses experiences would be greatly appriciated :geek:

Hi Gareth

The size of the pakfile is dependent on many things. Game length or complexity is less of a factor than the number and size of assets - environments, characters, objects, textures (for your own backgrounds and labels etc.).
