What does this restriction mean?

Postby Watergruvin » Sun Feb 05, 2012 10:46 am

There will be some restrictions, however:

You won’t be able to create sims & games and then monetise them. This would be considered commercial use and you’d need to have a licence to Thinking Worlds Pro or our IOS Pro upgrade to be able to do that.
Your sims & games that you create will have a watermark attached to them until you upgrade to a Pro version.
Some advanced features will not be included in the free version. Those features will be: SCORM Nodes & Flash Nodes.
This version of the software is not available to any individual, business (incorporated or unincorporated), entity or organisation with a turnover exceeding US$100,000 in its last fiscal year.

The last point seems to show that if you make a gross profit of 100 grand, you can't use thinking worlds professionally? Am I reading this right?

Hello,

In the last point, This version is referring to the standard version only. The pro version is available to be used by anyone as the license for the tool will have been secured with the pro version purchase.
More information can be found at http://www.thinkingworlds.com/?p=780

Thanks,
Gregg
